The sixth generation iPod Touch (stylized and marketed as the iPod touch, and colloquially known as the iPod Touch 6GiPod Touch 6, oriPod Touch (2015) [3] is a multipurposepocket computer designed and marketed byApple Inc. with a touchscreen-based user interface. It is the successor to the iPod Touch (5th generation), becoming the first major update to the iPod lineup in three years. It was released on the online Apple Store on July 15, 2015, along with a new iPod Nanoand iPod Shuffle, which received minor upgrades.[4][5]
The iPod touch is the only currently shipping iOS device besides the iPad mini 2 in production that does not implement Touch ID.
